After today, Get Away Today's pricing syncs with Disney's October 6 increase on Park Hopper add-ons and Lightning Lane Multi Pass. The savings on a 3-day or 4-day family trip are concentrated in the Park Hopper add-on (the old $34/day rate versus the new $38/day baseline). If you have a 2026 or 2027 trip booked or planned, buy tickets tonight. All Get Away Today tickets are fully refundable within 365 days of purchase, so even if plans shift, there's no real downside.
"it's a small world" closes October 30 for its Holiday overlay. The classic ride's last regular-version day is October 29. It then closes October 30 through November 12 and reopens November 13 as "it's a small world" Holiday — right as Holidays at Disneyland begins. Height requirement is 46 inches, so this is a ride for older kids (roughly 7 and up), but it's one of the best-loved Disneyland attractions for the age range. Families with kids 7 to 10 who were disappointed by its absence can now re-add it to any late-2026 or 2027 trip plan. The reopening timing also lands right before Halloween weekend, which will push waits meaningfully higher for the final 10 days of October.

🎃 Halloween Time, Final 12 Days
Halloween Time wraps Friday October 31. If you're planning a final visit, the realistic options are the final weekday block (October 26 through 29) and Halloween week itself (October 28 through 31). Halloween week will be crowded. Expect 7 to 8 out of 10 crowd levels through the final weekend and Halloween night.
Plaza de la Familia at DCA runs 2 extra days past Halloween Time (through November 2), which gives families one bonus weekend to experience the Coco celebration. Miguel meet-and-greets, Coco music sets, authentic food. Weekday waits remain quick.
Haunted Mansion Holiday continues through early January, so a Holidays-season trip (November 13 onward) still gets the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. No scramble needed to catch it before Halloween Time ends.
Final Halloween Screams fireworks run Thursday October 29, Friday October 30, Saturday October 31. If fireworks are the point, Saturday Halloween night is the obvious choice but will be the most crowded.
Oogie Boogie Bash events continue on scheduled nights through October 31. DCA closes early (typically 6 PM) to general-admission guests on event nights. Check the app for your dates before planning a DCA afternoon.
❄️ Holidays Season Is Weirdly Already Here
Snow installation on Sleeping Beauty Castle began October 12, which is earlier than any prior year. The castle isn't fully transformed yet, but icicles and snow caps are visibly going up on the castle roofs during the day while Halloween Time is still active below. This creates one of the most unusual visual transitions of the year at Disneyland. If you're visiting the final 2 weeks of October, you'll see both Halloween decor and construction crews actively installing holiday elements overhead. Not negative, just worth setting expectations if your kid is sensitive to visual chaos.
Holidays at Disneyland Resort officially runs November 13 through January 6, 2027. Full programming includes A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Believe...In Holiday Magic Fireworks, World of Color Season of Light, Haunted Mansion Holiday (continuing), "it's a small world" Holiday (opening November 13), and the new Santa location at Mickey's Toontown Trolley Barn.
🍿 Food Worth Knowing
Halloween Time food runs 12 more days. Everything disappears November 1. Holidays food lands November 13 (there's a 12-day gap where park menus are at their generic baseline).
Pumpkins and Pancakes at Naples Ristorante e Bar at Downtown Disney runs October 25 and October 31 only. Pumpkin-themed brunch menu. Kid-friendly and a nice alternative to the in-park character breakfast options if you're already parked at Downtown Disney.
The Churro Hand Tart continues to be the sleeper hit of the season.
Alien Pizza Planet, Little Red Wagon corn dogs, and Ronto Wraps at Galaxy's Edge remain the reliable year-round kid-friendly picks.
Bopo Go! at Downtown Disney: still not open. Over 3 months of visible construction with no announced date.
👋 Character Exits to Flag
Live-Action Ariel and Elena of Avalor meet-and-greets ended this week at Disneyland Resort. If your kid was planning to meet either character, that option is gone. Standard animated Ariel still appears in character cavalcades and Fantasyland photo spots, but the dedicated meet-and-greet is over.

Buy Get Away Today tickets by midnight tonight for pre-hike pricing. This is the actual last day. After today, prices sync with Disney's new rates.
